B&B Audio Concepts has been installing, upgrading and customising in-car audio and visual entertainment hardware, phones and computers, security systems and satellite navigation systems of all shapes and sizes since 1987.
“B&B was the first car hi-fi shop Cardiff, which we took over from the original owners,” says proprietor Waz Khaliq. “We have worked hard to acquire an expertise and a reputation for excellence. We have won many awards for the high standard of our work, including UK champion in the International Auto Sound Challenge Association (Iasca/SCA) in 1998, 1999 and runner-up in 2000.”
Now based handily just off Penarth Road on the West Point Industrial Estate, with a packed showroom and a clean, well-equipped workshop, B&B Audio Concepts is a family-run one-stop shop for all the automotive gear you could want, from sat navs and hands-free phones and MP3 players to shiny alloy wheels, exhausts and parking sensors.
“There’s nothing we can’t do,” says Waz proudly. “We discuss your needs to work out exactly the right product for you – we don’t just sell you a box, it’s all about your lifestyle.
“We have the expertise and facilities to work on any vehicle, and can visit you wherever and whenever necessary. It’s not just cars, we can work on bikes, quads, tries, vans, trucks, coaches, limos, and even yachts.
“The workshop is fully insured and we have our own RTA which means we can tune any vehicle to perfection. We also repair damaged or broken audio equipment with our own in-house team and we can supply graphics, wraps and airbrush work.”
Three projects currently in the workshop are a good example of Waz’s philosophy of service and his can-do attitude: a Maserati twin turbo is having a sound system plus a complete interior revamp; a Range Rover is being treated to tinted windows, LED number plates, a digital conversion for a TV, 22in wheels, chrome wing mirrors and a new front bumper and light assembly; and a Ford Focus, the third car Waz and his team have worked on for a disabled young man who loves his cars, is having a complete entertainment system, Bluetooth phone, iPod connection, tinted windows, 17in wheels and parking sensors.
This approach to looking after customers extends to after-sales service as well, when any faults will be speedily repaired or the item replaced.
